My Experience
Internships
MetricsCart
May 2024 – August 2025
I interned at MetricsCart, a startup specializing in e-commerce digital analytics. I gained hands-on experience collaborating with the sales team, marketing team, and CEOs, contributing to a diverse range of tasks. I engaged in client communication, drafted contracts, created social media content, and conducted in-depth research on business models, financial statements, and the e-commerce industry.
EY
July – August 2022
I worked with the Media & Technology Group to evaluate market expansion strategies for international companies in a variety of media, technology, and entertainment sectors. I conducted competitor and industry analyses utilizing Excel and contributing insights that shaped the team’s recommendations.
Extracurriculars and Leadership
College
Amherst Agni
May 2024 – April 2026
I served on the executive board for Amherst Agni, the first Desi Dance Network (DDN) competition at UMass Amherst and the largest event in Western Massachusetts celebrating South Asian arts and culture. We spent 10 months preparing, promoting, and fundraising for our inaugural competition on March 30th, 2025. We held Amherst Agni 2.0 on April 4th, 2026. I was one of three finance chairs, initially treasurer and then focusing on sponsorships in my second year. We successfully raised over $25,000 for each competition and brought in over 600 attendees to the show.
Isenberg Consulting Academy
February -May 2025
I served on the first executive board of the Isenberg Consulting Academy (ICA) with fellow student leaders and advisors. ICA teaches UMass students about consulting and builds skills for the field. We hold weekly workshops on consulting topics each semester, culminating in a case competition in April. I worked with board members and professors on ICA initiatives and managed the Academy’s social media and marketing.
Grayson-Field House Council
September 2024 – May 2025
I served on the executive board of my dorm’s house council as treasurer. I managed the $7,000 budget for the Grayson-Field House Council, tracked spending, coordinated with administration, and handled budget requests. I worked with the House Council, Programming Board, and advisors in weekly meetings to plan activities for Grayson and Field Hall residents. We promoted monthly events through social media, posters, and word of mouth.
High School
South Asian Affinity Group
June 2021 – May 2023
I was part of my high school’s South Asian Affinity Group (SAAG) throughout my time there and led it in 11th and 12th grade. I advertised the club, recruited members, planned weekly meetings and cultural events, managed the budget, and promoted South Asian culture at Worcester Academy. We organized events like a Diwali potluck and Holi celebrations for students, and also held weekly meetings for the South Asian community and presented on South Asian culture in school assemblies.
The Knowledge Society
September 2021 – June 2022
I took part in The Knowledge Society’s 10-month accelerator for students aged 13-18. Our group of 50 met weekly with two mentors in 3-hour workshops. I explored emerging tech and science like blockchain, AI, and gene editing, developed networking and personal branding skills, and created a LinkedIn profile and monthly newsletter. I worked with peers on projects and presentations, including hackathons where we tackled global problems, crafted innovative solutions, and pitched to judges within a set time.
Projects
Honors Thesis
February – May 2026
In the final semester of my undergraduate studies, I completed my honors thesis titled “Behind the Brand: The Business Model of Streaming-Era Artists in the Attention Economy” in the Spring semester. I researched the revenue model and marketing strategy of top artists in the era of streaming platforms, social media, and large-scale tours, completing case studies of Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny—two equally dominant artists who are vastly different—looking at their individual strategies with streams, social media, fan communities, and world tours, and concluding with a comparative analysis.
Portfolio Website
March – August 2025
I wanted to create a website to show my experience, projects, and passions to others. During my spring break and in the following months, I created an early draft of this website using my prior knowledge of HTML and CSS, adding JavaScript with help from ChatGPT and other online resources. But with my father’s help, I launched this refined version through WordPress in June.
Discovery Project
October 2022 – May 2023
At my high school, Worcester Academy, a requirement to graduate is the Discovery Project. Every senior takes on a Discovery Project of their choosing over the course of the year that can be completed in a variety of forms. I chose to do a project about my Kashmiri Pandit Indian-American background, where I wrote a blog on different aspects of my life to teach others about my background and culture. Topics included Hindu holidays and traditions as well as traditional Kashmiri dishes.
Synthis Pitch
May 2022
Our final hackathon for the TKS Innovate program was on sustainability solutions for the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP). My group created a solution to combat climate change by developing bio-batteries that convert atmospheric CO2 into a renewable energy source. In the end, my group was selected in the top 10 pitches by the UNEP’s judges.
